The DotA 2 Campaign is broken down into two acts. The first one is available right now while the second act is due to be released.
DotA 2 has had a long run from the time it was launched. It is still considered as one of the best MOBAs on the Steam store. However, Valve just announced that DotA is getting a campaign mode. The first act of the campaign mode is called “Sands of Fate“. It is available on the Steam store for 7.99€/9.99$.
The players will be forming teams of four defenders and will be undergoing a secret mission to take down Siltbreaker and his enthralling hall of followers. Moreover, The players will journey across vast landscapes filled with hordes of monsters and other lethal terrors.
Playing through the Campaign mode, the players will be awarded Artifacts. They can use these Artifacts in the campaign mode.
Valve has described the plot in the following words:
As Act I opens, Siltbreaker awakens in the depths of Dark Reef, and the mysterious Conclave of the Brine calls upon you to halt this dark power’s ascent, starting with Siltbreaker’s twisted creation—Rhyzik the Corruptor.
As you battle through multiple play zones in search of Rhyzik, you’ll earn completion stars based on your performance level. The first time you complete a zone with one or two stars will net you Battle Points rewards, and delivering a three-star zone performance will grant a treasure from Siltbreaker himself.
Also, each Siltbreaker treasure holds a chance to unlock an indescribably-rare Immortal Desert Sands Baby Roshan courier. Players with Battle Pass level 165 or higher will receive double treasures for each three-star zone they complete.
