World War 3 is a game which made quite big ripples in the gaming community. Ever since Battlefield 4, the historic, as well as futuristic shooters, took the market by storm, but there was a middle ground that was somewhat covered by PUBG which let’s be honest wasn’t doing proper justice to this Military FPS genre. Along came an FPS shooter that gamers were longing to have a go at since it was announced. After it got released, we finally got a chance to play it in its early stages of development and experience if the hype was worth it or not.
Gameplay in World War 3 is extremely fast Paced. The high rate of movement for both players and vehicles combined with the Lethal Nature of ballistic and explosive weapons means that lives are lost at an alarming rate. Of course, that makes holding out for just a few more kills all the more exciting. Even with just a few dozen players on a server, which can accommodate up to 64 players, the action feels intense.
Team Work is essential, especially since you can spawn in on your commander. Players can mark targets for your squad, and commanders can issue orders just like in real life situation. Squad members are rewarded with ‘XP’ for following through on those commands i.e Objectives. There’s also a point-buy system of perks that allows individual soldiers to call in special maneuvers like offensive drones and artillery strikes. The system is surprisingly generous, and even mediocre players can be assured of getting the chance to pop off some cool piece of tech every once in a while.
Even in its early stages, the world of WW3 feels realistic with proper lighting and grimy atmosphere giving it an authentic war waged city vibe. The Textures of soldiers as well as vehicles look stunning, no less than any ‘Triple A’ title. More graphics tweaks will follow to improve greatly upon the rich look and feel of the atmosphere to further enhance user experience into it.
Now Something that is the most exciting aspect of World War 3 is its customization of weapons, Hallelujah if it isn’t the best. it has Obscene level of detailed customization of gear and weapons. Players can modify their weapon parts, attachments, skins, camos and paints. The same applies to vehicles and tactical gear and uniforms.
Also one of the best things about this game is its Loot-Box free (At least at the moment). There is no pay to win Game design that is being implemented into WW3 and nor there is a plan to do so hopefully.
So far the Launch has been little Rocky and i have complete a handful of mission with my squad without major issues. Still, it has managed to sell more than 100,000 Copies in 2 days alone making it in the top of the steam bestseller list. This shows people have faith and are providing support to a game that has huge potential as a realistic military shooter. Even tho there are many issues that plague the game i still loved playing it with friends and hopefully it will turn out to be a Solid Fps game after the Final Launch.
